James Meakin is a high-end fashion photographer from the UK who established himself as a lighting expert after assisting photographers like Laurie Bartley & Kevin Mackintosh. He has worked on big advertising campaigns for Sony and Gucci, and editorials for Vogue Portugal, Exit and Flair.

His portfolio is full of amazingly colorful and surreal images, often shot in desert/rocky environments. “I often reference horror movies for lighting. That ambience and chill factor is where I’d like to be. I want to shoot in a style that can be identified as my own which is fantasy based, dark glamour and always slightly surreal.”
